OpenStack Swift meetup: How Swift Handles Hardware Failures

SwiftStack is sponsoring this meetup about Swift.

We will take an in-depth look at different failure modes in Swift by examining the code paths for several request types.
- What happens when a server is unavailable?
- What happens when a hard drive fails?
- What happens if a hard drive is full?

And, of course, we'll be happy to answer any questions you have on Swift. Come to learn and share your experiences with Swift.

6:30 - 7:00: eat, drink, and be merry

7:00 - 8:00: talk and answer questions

Pizza and beer will be provided.

How to get in: Come to Citizen Space, walk to the glass doors, and follow the signs.

Great group of people to mingle with. I learned a lot about how Swift handles and recovers from errors. Thanks!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
