South Bay OpenStack Meetup, Intermediate/Hackathon track

  • May 16, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

These meetups are community based and focused. The Beginner track is for someone with little to no experience with OpenStack. You can be just interested in expanding your devOps horizons or someone that just wants to learn more about this cloud thing. The Intermediate track is for a experienced devOps, some python experience, and an understanding of OpenStack core. Some advanced OpenStack devOps will join the hackathon from time to time. The Advanced track is for seasoned OpenStack devOps to discuss blueprints and code. Each Advanced devOps meetup will focus on a different OpenStack core project.

Drink, food, whiteboards and wifi provided by Yahoo! Bring a laptop if you want to code or to install DevStack to take away with you.

Updates will be published via the meetup email list, OpenStack community blog, and twitter via @sarob

That's great! Last meetup is my first time in SFBay OpenStack with a little bit confused.

Good progress on training objective. Guess we will return to regular code hackathon during next meetup.

The entire time was spent with a presentation and discussion on training and accreditation. No time was given to social interaction, discussing the OpenStack software, or for people to ask their OpenStack questions. I would be much more interested in discussions or presentations on OpenStack components (Nova, Swift, Cinder, Quantum, Horizon, Keystone, Glance, Ceilometer, Heat), networking issues, or issues people are coming across and how they can be addressed.

Is this meeting still on tonight? (The advanced group meetup, earlier today, was cancelled.)
