Learners hangout

Come together to hack together on your own stuff.

Every Saturday afternoon can be your dedicated project time. Be it your work from the week, the pet project, your new start-up or "just" the next lessons on codeacademy - sit down and get cracking. Why not do that at home? Because this will be a hangout for all kinds of people and so you can chat in your breaks, get to know new people and help each other out when you're stuck.

Although it's announced on our meetup group a few things to note about this meetup:

  • It's not guaranteed you'll have a OTS member/coach present.
  • There won't be any prepared talks or workshops.
  • There are other people and music, too. Also the WIFI is flaky sometimes.

We are offering this as an easier way to meet other learners. Please ping us if you have suggestions to make this event more useful to you all.

The first one to come, put up a paper easily visible for everyone, stating that there is the OTS Learners hangout so that others can find you.

Meeting moved to the Travis CI office on the 5th floor ("ganz oben office") - because TravisCI is awesome. We got kicked out of the betahaus cafe due to some event... sadly. Sorry for all the troubles.

Hi there, just letting you know that Arne and me will be hanging around. We're both Rails Girls Berlin coaches and hence both mainly focussed on Ruby. But well we know other languages too, most prominently CoffeeScript, JavaScript and he knows LISP.
When not helping out we'll probably be hacking on open source, more specifically shoes.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
