In this the first public learning session of Hackership Batch-1 the coaches Carl and Ben will present you with common best practice in using the Git Version Control System – basic understanding of Git requried¹.

The presentation will explaining hands-on how to best commit, branch, merge and manage remotes, before we will take a peak look into more advanced features of git like stash, rebase and bisect. After presentations all participants are invited to ask questions and share their advise about using git on a daily basis. If there are more specific issues or questions, everyone is invited to bring their laptop and ask the coaches one-on-one over a drink after to get things sorted out.

Drinks will be provided by Zalando. Sign ups will open Thursday July 31 at 6pm and close Tuesday August 4th 4pm. Make sure to sign up with your real name otherwise security won't let you in.
