Workshop 2: Using SQL to obtain information from databases

SQL databases are one of the most commonly used form of data storage. From storing inventories of online shops to data from scientific research or financial markets, SQL databases allow for a structured representation of huge amounts of data. The SQL language is used to obtain the desired information from the data. For example, all shop items bought by a particular customer in the last two months.
Who can participate in this event?
Anyone interested in using and understanding SQL. In particular for applications in business, finance, sociology, and other fields. No existing knowledge about databases or programming in general is required.
What should you bring?
A Computer. Windows, Mac, Linux are all fine. No need to install any software beforehand. The coaches will provide you with all necessary software as well as the sample data required for the tasks of the course.
