Socket.io is one of the most popular libraries in the Node.js Community. A lot of Node's early success should be credited towards the community's use of Socket.io in early Node.js apps. Socket.io recently released version 1.0 which includes a host of updates to the library.
Jean Amarante will be leading us in a discussion about Socket.io 1.0. Jean has created a super-rad multiplayer video game that is heavily integrated into Socket.io and makes use of most of the public API.
The Orlando Node meetup typically lasts about an hour and we meet at Envy Labs in the GAI building in Thorton Park. Parking is free, but you need to park on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th levels to get in. The first floor doors are locked in the evening. Look forward to seeing you there!
Follow @node_orlando, TJ Krusinski (@tjkrusinski) and Jean Amarante (jeanamarantedev) on twitter for up to date info on the meetup.
