Apache NiFi: Joe Witt of Hortonworks

Bio:
Joe Witt is the Senior Director of Engineering at Hortonworks focused on the Hortonworks Data Flow product. Joe spent 10 years at NSA most of which developing what became Apache NiFi. In 2015 Joe and a team of cofounders left NSA and started a company called Onyara which was acquired by Hortonworks. Joe is a member of the project management committee for Apache NiFi.

Abstract:
Joe Witt will provide a fast paced and interactive briefing on Apache NiFi. NiFi is designed to provide interactive command and control, data provenance, and a powerful platform to manage the flow of data between systems. During the talk Joe will quickly describe the main concepts of Apache NiFi, provide a live demo showing how NiFi fits in with the Big Data ecosystem, and discuss some of the exciting features the community is working on for upcoming releases of NiFi.
