Edit-a-thon for OpenStreetMap US

OpenStreetMap US is organizing another nationwide edit-a-thon, so come out and map to improve the US map data!

We can fix street network data, fix errors, add POIs, and more. If you're new to OSM, we'll have plenty of seasoned vets there to show you how to become more proficient at editing using several different tools.

Let's meet up at the Broadway Deli in downtown Dunedin. We might even be able to sit outside if the weather cooperates.

Hey guys, the OSM US Foundation (who put together the nationwide edit-a-thon) sent out a survey link to the different participating groups for feedback. Take a look and reply if you have a moment...

I have a few forms you can use in Fulcrum to do OSM data collection with, then some utilities to convert the data to OSM format. I can show you day-of when we're out for the meetup.

Anyone have info on the Pushpin Android version? I saw Tony's Hangout on the Spatially Adjusted blog and he mentioned something about using it through the Fulcrum Ap? ps - Will be able to confirm Meetup attendance closer to date.

Don't know anything about editing OSM, but would really like to learn. Where? What do I need to install beforehand?

    March 12, 2013

Hey Dave, the desktop editor is called JOSM (http://josm.openstree...), pretty easy to install for Windows or Mac. The simplest editor is the one built into the website, though. Pretty straightforward for getting into it. We'll be doing a good bit of mapping at this meetup with some veteran OSMers, so we can show you around.

Dunedin works for me! We'll nail down a specific spot and post it here... Any recommendations on venues?
