OpenStreetMap Edit-a-thon Summer 2013

It’s this time of the season again. The next OpenStreetMap #editathon is on July 20 and 21. All over the United States we will be improving the US on OpenStreetMap. Of course, SLC is participating as well! Depending on interest, we can do either Saturday afternoon only, or Saturday and Sunday.

If you're new to OpenStreetMap, this is a perfect event to get you started with mapping. There will be experienced mappers to show you around, and if there's interest we can run a mapping workshop as part of this afternoon.

We will be in the 4th floor Conference Room of the Library.

What to bring: A laptop if you have one (Windows, Mac, Linux all good), a mouse (makes editing easier) and a power cord / strip. Don't worry if you have none of these things, you can meet mappers and learn how to contribute to OSM without.
