  • Meet in the parking lot. I have a maroon colored Jeep & my number is[masked]
  • The Minnesota River might be too high for us to get all the way down to the river, but we're going to give it our best shot.

The hike is an in and out hike, but is filled with beauty and wonder. Come on out an join us. The hike should take about 2 hours and we'll start our hike promptly at 6:30pm.

Does your group ever do anything on the weekends? Currently, I work unti 7pm Mon-Fri so during the week. This should change soon, but until then, just wondering?

One suggestion is to wear water shoes so you can cross the creek to get to the river with no worries about wet feet. Or just take off your shoes and carry them. :)

To answer some of the questions people had on this hike...its not a 9 mile hike, that's just the name of the park and the creek that runs through it. Dogs are welcome as long as they stay on leash. Children are welcome on this hike, but must always remain with a parent and not wander off on their own. We are not responsible for lost kids, dogs or adults.

Is there anyone that wants to do half the hike? 2 hours is getting too late due to work the next day.

I'm going to update the meeting location to Harrison Park on the other side of Nine Mile Creek Park. As Bonnie commented on, its easier parking and easier to find people. It's off of Old Shakopee Rd, so look for an update. I too wish for a rain FREE nights.

What is the pace like for these sort of hikes? Like is it a something like a jog, a speedwalk, or a casual stroll?

I love hiking this park. Hopefully the river is down so we can get down to it this year.
