Crowning of the May Queen and King

Beltane Parades Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their Pagan Finery or as Magical Creatures. We will be making noise and gathering those will be competing in the Beltane Games. We will also do a 2nd round after the Crowning of the May Queen and King to bring everyone to the May Pole and show off the new May Queen and King.

Beltane Games:

Both Women and Men compete in the same games, but not against each other. Contestants must be at least 18 and in good shape. For each contest won you will get a name chip to be placed in the drawing. The Drawing will be done after the contests, the winners being crowned Queen and King. Their duties are to lead the Maypole Ritual and set court over the Faerie/toga/masquerade party. They will also receive free tickets for themselves and a partner to the Samhain Gathering.

Jousting ? Acacia (wear something that you don?t mind getting paint on. Bare tops are acceptable)

Maypole Ritual Those wishing to contribute Ribbon for the Maypole or greatly appreciated. Ribbon should be at least 1? wide and around 30? in length. Any color .

Drumming Magick By NightHawk

NightHawk from the Phoenixphyre Phamily in Florida, and Velvet Hammer/Dreamtrybe, The Raft, and other great Pagan rock bands, will be doing a workshop and teaching a style of drumming that seems to bring FUN back into drumming. Drumming Magick!!!!!!! To us there is nothing like taking a group of us all together making music and magick around the fire. Learn how to walk into a drum circle at any time and be able to find your spot. How we can all play together and make music. One happy Circle, one happy phamily. Drumming Magick is a workshop that covers the many aspects of group drumming for revels and ritual. Nighthawk teaches drumming!!!!!! It is not a traditional class!!! We might play African Songs, but it is not an African class. We might play Middle Eastern songs, but it is not a Middle Eastern class. He teaches what is called REAL MUSIC, REAL TIME. He will teach you to be a well rounded drummer. Dancers are welcomed!!!!!!!!!!!

Goddess Runes by Mary Ann Bonetti Come and learn how to read the Goddess Runes, a feminine energy based divination system. These runes are very different from the Futhark. Easy to learn and quite interesting.

Finding your inner Faerie- Discordia and Michelle 21 and older (Younger only with a parent) Will be making Faerie wings and Drinking Mimosas, You can bring a couple of sheets of poster board for your wings or give a donation for cost of materials and drinks. Bring your own glass.

Master Healer and Instructor, Patricia is a graduate of The Body Mirror System of Healing by Sir Martin Brofman, Ph.D. of Den Mark (healer@...) and Philippe Hannetelle of Germany (healer@...). She is also a graduate of the three year masters program at The School of Transformation and Healing created and run by Shirley Williams Ph.D., N.D., Ed.D. in Houston, Texas. As a facilitator of healing conferences, Patricia has brought Martin Brofman and Phillippe Hannetelle from Europe to the United States and presented conferences and classes on The Body Mirror System at the ARE (Edgar Cayce Center, Va. Beach, VA) and conference centers in Virginia Beach, VA and The Outer Banks of North Carolina. Star Party for the Adults with Genie Fri Night. This is a very casual look at the stars, pointing out basic constellations, current visible planets and a couple of star stories with some info on how different cultures use the stars in their mythology and relation to the earth. Those that wish to bring telescopes and binoculars are welcome.

Zumba! with Cynthia Teaching some basic Latin moves (cumba, salsa etc.) about a hour long. Let your hair down and shimmy and shake to some awesome Latin music. Fast moving class so bring plenty of water. You don?t need a partner

Yoga for stress release. with Cynthia

A basic yoga class working on relieving stress through yoga postures. about 45 mins long. Any place you think would be a good idea is fine with me.

Children Activities:

Sweat Lodge workshop for Kids with Shaunti How the sweat lodge works and why we do it. Adults are welcome as well. This will be done in an unheated lodge.

Egg hunt and Maypole Parents are asked to contribute plastic eggs and prizes to go in them for the egg hunt?. Also Ribbon for the May pole would be helpful, need to be 1?? wide and around 20 feet per strand

Pot Luck at Communal Dinning Area near the Kitchen: This is a Community meal where everyone brings a dish to share. We suggest you bring enough for yourself and at least a couple of others. What we have will depend on what is brought. This is a Traditional Pot Luck and a chance to join others and get to know them.

The 3nd Toga/Faerie/Masquerade Party in the Woods: Fancy Fae's Faire Lounge is again hosting the Mid-night party. Please attend in costume and help the woods come alive with Magical Creatures.

There will be Music, a Fire, Drumming and who knows what else.

Best costume will get a free ticket to Samhain
