Craft Testing Meetup

Details

Hi Folks,

It's been a while since we last met and Craft conference is coming up, so we would like to invite you to join us in a special event before it gets started. We have 2 speakers so far, you can see their topics below.

The event location is the following: Ericsson, 1117 Budapest, Irinyi József u. 4-20. building B ground floor.

Speakers:

Ines Sombra: Testing distributed systems
We are told that testing distributed systems is difficult, but why? What are the methodologies and techniques available to us practitioners? In this talk I’ll discuss distributed systems testing from 2 different perspectives: Academia and Industry. We’ll survey testing methodologies and academic research then contrast it to industry practices and patterns.

Emily Bache: Catch Dancing Ponies: try Approval Testing

UPDATE: Unfortunately Emily cannot join the meetup, but hopefully you can see her at Craft on Friday.

Adrian Trenaman:
In this impromptu session, Ade will discuss Gilt's changing approach to how we develop and test software for gilt.com (http://gilt.com/)'s large-scale micro-services architecture, and our move from traditional staging environments to 'testing-in-production' techniques.

See you on Wednesday.
