Italian Tasting and Dinatoire

Details

You are cordially invited to Nebbiolo! A new Italian Wine Bar and Restaurant on Wednesday evening 31 July at 20h30. Frederico, the owner and our host for the evening, will serve us and talk to us all about the wines that we have carefully chosen for this special tasting evening.

Wine notes and cheeses are also included with the dinatoire menu (light dinner) and of course, the five-8cl glasses of wine, (basically, a half bottle!) during this extraordinary evening.

Although at first glance you may find this expensive, please keep in mind that this is an exclusive evening. The restaurant is being reserved for us, and we are pouring the BEST wines. These are wines that you ordinarily don’t have the chance to try. This evening will be an event, professionally executed, informative and of course, lots of fun.

This five course dinatoire, all paired with delicious and hard to find Italian wines is 67€ per person, all inclusive.

Wine and menu:

Course 3
Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso "Poiane" DOC
Veneto

Riso Venere

Course 4
Amarone della Valpolicella "Origini" DOC
Veneto
A careful selection of perfectly healthy and ripe bunches of 75% Corvina and Corvinone; 25% Rondinella is the basis for the production of Amarone "Le Origini". The vineyard is cultivated exclusively using the traditional Veronese pergola system located in the high Marano and Negrar valleys, the property of historical providers, chosen on the basis of the agronomic identity card which describes their characteristics and potential. About 9-12 months in 500-litre oak tonneaux and subsequent passage to large traditional barrels. The wine is a deep and velvety garnet color with a violet hue. A perfume of wild cherries, jam, mature pear, vanilla, liquorice and cedar wood. Full-bodied, warm on the palate with clear hints of cocoa and spices. 16% alcohol.

Roast Veal and Potatoes with Rosemary

Brachetto Piemonte DOC 2012
From Piedmont, Asti Monferrato. This single vineyard and single vintage sparkler is 100% Brachetto and only 7.5% alcohol. It has limited annual production and limited availability. A real treat!
