Hey Knitters & Crocheters,
As always, I hope this email finds you in good spirits. I would like begin this email by thanking all you knitters who turned out this past thursday and made it another great meet-up experience. You people are definitely a lively bunch. I would like to specially thank all those experienced knitters who took the time to show our FIVE knitting newbies (or noobs for short) how to knit. Great teachers, everyone of you.
Speaking of noobs, you ladies were GREAT. Either, I was especially thick when you I was first learning how to knit or you ladies are all knitting prodigies. Shout outs to>
a) Denise (our knitter from the strange & far out land of Queens, NY)
b) Nat (the "down under" knitting prodigy. Keep working on that scarf)
c) Raquel (hope to talk to you in length at the next meet-up)
d) Sharon (I saw you talking to Mariel. Remember, DPNs are Eeeevillll. Magic Loop rules!)
e) Pasha (Bring the energy)
f) & Aileen (I know you aren't a new knitter but you described as the forever beginner and you are NEW to our group.
This week, I hope to continue the introduction to knitting. For "Knitting 102", newbies will hopefully leave knowing how to bind off, garter stitch, stockinette stitch and basic ribbing.
In the future, I hope to organize more formal workshops on sock knitting and knitting on circulars.
To improve our little group please visit the message boards and reply to the new post, "How r we doing
?" It would be very helpful and only take a minute.
PS > Ashanti, stop feeling up the newbies *smirk* (see the posted photos of the event for more detail).
