Hey Ladies and few Gentlemen,
As the title suggest, we have two new and exciting last minute events for you.
a) This wednesday, the Philharmonic is playing a concert @ the Prospect Park Band shell. This free outdoor concert by the NY Philharmonic will be followed by a fireworks display. The orchestra, conducted by Alan Gilbert, will perform Mozart's Symphony No. 41 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.
The concert starts at 8 PM. You can check out the details here.
Since it will be packed, I was thinking we could meet at the 9th street and Prospect Park West entrance of the park (by the statue) between 6:50 and 7:05 PM. From there, we can walk together and find a good spot to hear the concert and knit while the sun is still out.
I recommend bringing chairs and snacks. If you have any problems, you can reach me on my cell ([masked]. Click here to RSVP.
b) Frogging, in the knitting world, means when you "rippit" or rip out a piece of knitted fabric. Most of us knitters have a UFO (unfinished object) lying around that for some reason shouldn't or can't be completed. It should be frogged but for some reason the idea of frogging is just to painful. That is where our next meeting comes in. This Saturday, @ 3 PM, PSKC member Morgan, has agreed to house a FROGGING party at her house. Bring at least one project of yours that has to be frogged. All who attend swap and then rip out each others projects. Much less painful and there is a support group there for you, if needed. Of course, a ball winder and skein will be on hand.
Due to space constraints, I am limiting the RSVPs to 6 people. RSVP only if you are sure you can make it. Click here. Also, Morgan doesn't have any pets or smoke. Bringing snacks would be appreciated.
