Partnership And Trust Here (PATH) Dog Training & Behavior - Welcome!
This group is founded and hosted by animal behaviorist and dog trainer, Ash Miner, a professional trainer since 2008, who holds dual Master's degrees in Animal Behavior for canines, felines, and equines from the accredited Unity Environmental University. She is a Certified Trick Dog Instructor and is certified through the American Kennel Club (AKC).
PATH offers regular in-person and online events. For in-person events, we have:
- Weekly PACT Dog Training Pack Walks (mild-moderately reactive dogs welcome) - Saturdays at 8am
- Pending: Monthly Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Practice Day + Testing
Rules & Tools:
- No flexi leashes, 4'-6' standard leashes only
- No punitive tools (prong, stim/shock/vibrate/beep collars, etc.) as these are banned from CGC testing by AKC rules & regulations
- Bring extra tasty rewards (string cheese, hot dogs, meaty jerky, plain meatballs, etc.) in a treat pouch
- Arrive 15mins early to let your dog sniff and get their sillies out
- Your dog must fulfill the prerequisites of the in-person meetups in order to attend. If you're not ready yet, Ash is absolutely willing to help fast-track you into your desired event.
Rescue Organizations!
If your foster family would like to bring a dog for adoption to any of these events, Ash welcomes them for free until they are adopted, and then the adoptive family can have 1 free class as well.

Combination of Pack Walk & Manners TrainingYou are most welcome to join us if your dog is mildly reactive. I use a combination of training and pack walking to help integrate dogs with stranger danger issues, arousal regulation struggles, and over eager greeter syndrome. The methods are reward-based, positive, force-free, fear-free, pain-free. As such, NO PUNITIVE TOOLS OR CORRECTIONS ALLOWED.
Please bring:
- 1 dog per handler
- Dogs should wear a harness and/or a martingale collar (you can use a head collar for severe pullers)
- A treat pouch
- The HIGHEST VALUE treats (string cheese, plain meatballs, plain grilled chicken, hot dogs, etc.)
- Collapsible water bowl & water
- You may want to use a Neewa hands-free belt
