Photography exercise:

  • As we are nearing the end of October we all know that Halloween is just around the corner. This is an exercise about the absence of light. Photograph creatively shadows, silhouettes, and things that shouldn't be there. Make it scary if you like or make it funny, but try to be creative with your lighting. Also look at this exercise as an exercise into time lapse photography, by opening up your camera to the b setting late at night just to see what we can find moving about.
  • Ghostbusters- For those of you who would like to turn this exercise into a location shoot, please post your information about where you would like to meet on the message board. We've heard of a few places that are considered haunted like the Barracks in Wilmington California, USC medical Center (which used to be called General Hospital) and Union Station.

As always please post your images, we will be critiquing them at the end of the month.

I am in the process of setting up a blogging site for critiquing photographic images for our group. Please for those who haven't joined our Flickr group please sign up as soon as you can, also Photoshop express, tabblo.com and other imaging supported websites and forward your links.

I do hope that you have some fun with this enjoy, and e-mail me with any questions directly to my personal e-mail.
