JMeter - A must have tool for the toolbox!

If you test web or web service based applications you should have JMeter in your test automation tool box!

JMeter is advertised as a load and performance testing tool, but it can do soooo much more! Exploratory Testing, Test Data Creation, Web Service testing, functional testing, etc....

Join us and learn the many ways people are using JMeter today.

Michael Fadhl of Catalyst IT Services will be providing an overview of JMeter and how to perform a functional test.

We will also have four other engineers that will tell you their favorite or not so favorite thing about JMeter as well as make up a panel to answer any and all questions!

Randy Pellegrini - Health Sparq
James Eisenhauer - hubbub health
Mark Ross - ARRIS

My team used JMeter to create an automation framework for RESTful services testing. The JMeter framework was then incorporated into end to end automation solution built using Excel macros and java.

I have used Jmeter recently to check compliance for a RESTfull Web Service API. There are many uses for Jmeter besides load testing.

have had a recent foray into jMeter as well. Although I am a new user - been able to successfully create a TestPlan, and run multiple users. Be curious to know what it's limitations are say compared to a more robust tool such as LoadRunner. Personally, jMeter takes care of what I need without a 500K investment into LoadRunner (no joke)

I'm a very recent user of Jmeter, using right this second actually. Would be happy to participate.
