Apologies for the short notice, but hey, free beer! Many of you know Andrew Spittle; he's bringing a team of folks from Automattic (the company behind wordpress.com, Jetpack, Akismet, and other stuff founded by Matt Mullenweg) to Portland this week to work together. They'll host a happy hour to get to know whichever members of the local community are interested in joining them for a drink on Tuesday, March 18, at Kelly's Olympian from 5:30 - 6:30pm.

Who're the out-of-towners from Automattic, and where are they from? Brandon Kraft (Austin), Paul Gibbs (UK, and who's also a lead developer of BuddyPress), Jackie Dana (Austin), Josh Root (Seattle), Michelle Weber (Jersey City), Jeremy DuVall (Boulder), Pam Kocke (New Orleans), Mikey Arce (Canada), Lisa Schuyler (Canada), and Spencer Berry (Omaha). So if you're able to make it, hope to see you there! Look for people in WordPress shirts. :)
