July Meeting

After the announcements (including info about WordCamp Portland), we'll be splitting into two groups for this meeting -- one on WordPress basics, and how to find basic information and tutorials, and the other for developers who want to talk code 'n stuff!

I got some tips I was looking for, and it was great to discuss with other developers what was on our minds-

My first WordPress Meetup, and a fantastic one at that! It was a brilliant idea to segment the groups by skill level. I learned a ton! I'm looking forward to the next Meetup.

The big advantage was meeting a few web designers. I recommend all designers bring business cards to share.
    A few suggestions.
    1. Include a few short presentations such as list favorite plugins.
    2. Walk bloggers through the process of how to include ads on a web page.
    3. Have someone expert in Thesis and Genesis show the two programs and contrast them. This should be done with computer and projector, not just a verbal talk.

A few Automatticians will be making it out to this one :] I'm visiting and planning for a move to PDX and local Happiness Engineer Andrew Spittle will also be making an appearance.
