Got off to a slow start. I should have picked a different group to work with. I joined the "new users" group and didn't get much out of it. I don't know a lot about WP so I thought it would be good to fill in the gaps. I can honestly say that if I didn't know as much as I do, nothing they said would have made sense to me. As a class for beginners, I think there was too much assumed prior knowledge. I would also recommend that the presenters polish up on their public speaking skills. Everyone was super nice, and very helpful, but the lack of organization and insufficient planning was a distraction for me.

This was a great event. One of my favorite meetups that I have been to. Kudos to the presenters, I really liked all three. The ideas for generating lots of angles for a topic to form new blogging ideas was great. So simple, yet I think this will help me alot. And I learned some handy new plugins and extensions. And finally, I have been learning lately about typography, and the third presenter was so convincing I actually went straight to powells and bought the book he recommended.
