Scaling Digital Trends

For our next WordPress PDX Developers meetup, Brandon Clark, Web Developer at Digital Trends, will discuss the challenges that his company has faced when scaling their website. In Brandon's words:

"We've recently been told that digitaltrends.com (http://digitaltrends.com/) is in the top 50 list of high traffic WordPress powered websites. People are often surprised to learn that our website runs WordPress and I am commonly asked how we were able to make it scale. In my talk I will share the behind the scenes story of developing the Digital Trends application, the mistakes we made, the problems we solved, and the various technology solutions we tried along the way. Custom plugins, server architectures, troubleshooting methods, and worthwhile technology partners will all be touched upon and I will happily answer questions. Perhaps sharing our experiences will help give you some ideas to grow your own WordPress site."
