What's Coming in WordPress 3.5

Winter is coming! We can see the signs already as the rain starts to fall and the cold winds blow. What better way to usher in the changing of seasons than to check out the latest and greatest enhancements to WordPress. Version 3.5 is slated for release in early December.

This month Michael Fields will be taking us through some of the improvements you will see when 3.5 hits the shelf including a brand new default theme, simplified media management, and much more.

Thank you for such a great presentation! I feel so much more prepared and ready for the next version, and I'm excited about some of the new features. And it was just so nice to have Michael show some little things too, that I probably would've spent a lot of time trying to figure out myself if I hadn't been there. So I really appreciated his talk and slides - he's always such a great presenter with a wealth of great information to share! We are lucky to have him in our local community. :)

Thank you for the heads up on all the new features, I may start to use the WordPress Gallery feature along with JetPack instead of NextGen Gallery plugin.

Ended up having car trouble this afternoon and can't make the meeting. Would love to get a summary or any suggested links to the types of things that were covered.

Since others are sharing, I've got a Wordpress website, www.readingpokertells.com, that I want to transition from a blog to more of a product-drive website that features my book. I've got plans sketched out for how I'd like it to look, but I'm not sure how easy my plans would be to implement on WordPress. I'll be looking to make contacts with someone who I could hire to do the work.

Zachary, I can help you transition your WordPress site to be product driven. The first step is a consultation meeting where I learn what you want, then I write a quote for your consideration. See examples at www.tualatinweb.com . Happy Thanksgiving Day.

Excited to be attending! Like Don, I'm also looking for Wordpress talent migrate the website of a family-owned, gluten-free bakery to Wordpress. So, as Don mentioned, if you know anyone looking for work, please bring them along!

    Looking forward to this!

My company is also looking to hire two full time WordPress devs ASAP, so if you know anyone looking for work please bring them with you! Cheers.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
