Smart Watches - what's coming soon to a wrist near you!

Smart watches are popping up everywhere. Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola -- the list goes on. Manufacturers big and small are releasing a plethora of smart watches in the near future. This month's meetup will focus on presentations and discussions around what we're finding out about these new devices. We're also going to have a short presentation on Android Wear (which we didn't have time for during the last event). As usual, the agenda is fairly loose and discussion-oriented, but we're planning on covering the following topics:

1. Android Wear - what is it? What can it do? What does it mean for developers?

2. New watches coming from Samsung, Motorola, LG and more. We'll review some of what we've learned but please feel free to talk about any other new watches you're hearing about. There are many coming from smaller companies that may be on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.

3. Apple iWatch - It's all speculation at this point, but many rumors are floating about. We'll discuss what functionality we "think" it will have and how this product might impact the industry.

PLEASE bring your smart watches to this meetup! We'll pass around any smart watches that are brought in and have some time for Q&A.

BONUS TOPICS - if we have time

1. Glass at Work - Google is realizing that Glass is well-suited for business uses so they are starting a new initiative called Glass at Work. Let's discuss our thoughts around Google re-directing some of their efforts around Glass for business use cases.

2. Sony Project Morpheus + EverQuest Next - will this be the first user-generated fully immersive virtual world? Last meetup, we had a presentation on Sony's upcoming Project Morpheus VR goggles. Sony is also working on a new version of their Massively Multi-Player Role Playing Game EverQuest called EverQuest Next. EverQuest Next will allow players to create various aspects of the game world and changes to the world are permanent. What if Sony combines Project Morpheus with EverQuest Next?
