Join our growing Wednesday coworking crew!

This past week, 22 designers, developers, founders, and creative folks came through — and the vibe was incredible. So we’re doing it again.

📍 We are meeting at Bridge Space, a 10,000 sq ft haven in SE Portland (normally home to wellness and healing practitioners), as we flip the script and bring together designers, devs, founders, freelancers, and facilitators for a day of relaxed productivity and spontaneous collaboration.

Whether you’re building something new, freelancing, job hunting, or just want a change of scenery, you’re welcome here. This is a casual, collaborative day of coworking with just enough structure to help you stay focused and feel supported.

🕙 When: Every Wednesday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
💸 Suggested Donation: $5–10 to support the space & community (optional)

### 🗓️ Schedule

• 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Morning Focus Block
• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch Break (bring your own or join a group nearby)
• 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Open Coworking
• 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Project Collab Hour (share what you're working on, get feedback, offer support, or jam with others)

👥 Roundtable format:

• 5–10 min per presenter
• Share what you’re building and where you want input
• Get feedback, ideas, or collaborators

This isn’t your average co-working day. We’ve got:

• Cozy couches for deep work & convos
• Open tables for builders and collaborators
• Small rooms for breathwork breaks, 1:1 convos, or solo focus
• Optional roundtable to get feedback on your projects or ideas

The Function NE offers month-long rotating showcases of breweries and exclusive beer brands in a relaxed atmosphere.

First time at a PDXWeb event? Don't worry! Our community is friendly and welcoming. Look for our group inside or on the patio (I'll update with specifics closer to the event). I'll make sure everyone gets introduced and feels included.

We are building a new type of hackathon!

The Portland "Hacker House" Hackathon isn't your typical competition. We've designed a single-day sprint where teams pitch and build creative, small startup concepts with a focus on collaboration rather than competition.

Think Silicon Valley hustle culture meets Portland weird and wellness culture.

Unique Approach

• No prizes - focus on creative process and community
• Unconference style with 8 open tables
• Shared momentum and cross-team collaboration
• Emphasis on functional prototypes, not slide decks

🗓️ THE PLAN
Morning Pitch Session (9:00-10:30 AM)
Teams arrive and propose ideas in a collaborative, open format. This isn't
a formal pitch competition, but rather a communal brainstorming session
where concepts evolve through feedback and cross-pollination.

Build Sprint (10:30 AM-4:00 PM)
The heart of the event. Teams spread across 8 open tables in
unconference style to develop their MVPs. The space is designed for fluid
movement, allowing participants to help each other, share resources, and
overcome technical challenges together.

LUNCH INCLUDED

Prototype Showcase (4:00-5:00 PM)
Each team presents their functional prototype in a casual, supportive
environment. Presentations focus on technical achievement and creative
problem-solving rather than business viability.

Community Networking (5:00-7:00 PM)
After the official event concludes, participants, mentors, and sponsors
gather for informal networking over local craft beers. This creates natural
recruiting opportunities and relationship building in Portland's signature
casual style.
