New Orleans Mycological Society Chanterelle Foray

For the NOLA Locovores Eat Local Challenge this year, The New Orleans Mycological Society will lead a mushroom foray.We will search for all types of mushrooms with a focus on Chanterelle mushrooms and other edibles. Afterwards we will try to ID the mushrooms you have found! Be sure to wear bug spray and bring something to hold your loot! Paper bags work well to store mushrooms as well as wax or parchment paper. Plastic will cause the mushroom to degrade faster. We will meet at the entrance and head into the park around 10:15. The park entrance fee is $2 per person.
