Well shitfire! NATURAL GAS WITHOUT FRACKING!
Only[masked] more mega-systems like this and the US might catch up to Germany. What a difference if just a couple $billion of all the funds currently going toward Marcellus fossil gas could be redirected toward digestion systems.
But I must reiterate: The total conservation of nutrients through digestion is at least as important as the gas. Also, these sort of centralized systems require too much energy for transport of digester feeds and effluents. [Nearly the whole of Bartertown could have fit into the Kroger digester.] I suggest much smaller digesters highly integrated into agricultural production operations for on-site recycling.
