Network via Learning & Sharing 1

Dear Friends, Thank you for joining this club! I'm so happy to see many like minded friends here. Let's make it happen. Take it easy for our first meeting while we identify some volunteers. My idea for this club is to have about 2 - 3 volunteer trainer / sharer to teach us something in 15 min. Think of a life TedTalk haha...

The sharer does not have to be a professional trainer. It can be someone who have read / watched something or attended a course and benefited from it and would love to share the knowledge / skills.

We are very grateful and excited that many are stepping forward to share their knowledge here.

Sequences:

1. Order food or drink - 10 min

2. Ice Breakers - 10 min

3. Topic:

Black Box Thinking (by Matthew Syed) - 15 min followed by discussion 15 min

Sokratis Anastasiadis will be discussing the book Black Box Thinking by Matthew Syed, which will show how our minds tends more on making explanations using existing information based on our values and skills instead of aligning our minds with new information from our external environment. Examples from the aviation, health, and criminal justice systems to the ones that were aware or not aware of this problem"

4. Topic:

Clean Language: Deep listening, clearer communication. sub-title: The answer is in the question.

Collin will be sharing 30 to 45 mins in the form of discussion.

Feel free to PM me in advance what you would love to share. The objective is to walk out having learnt something that adds to our personal growth and network with positive, like minded people. So I look forward to our first meetup, let's get to know each other first over dinner and see how we can start the event effectively. Venue to be confirmed somewhere in the city.
