The sole purpose of this group is to educate, share ideas, and bring together people who have or want chickens. No one involved in the leadership of this group is involved for financial gain.

Do you currently have a few pet chickens or an urban flock and want to meet other chicken owners? Would you like to have a few hens, and want information about how to get started?

Do you want to know what it takes to be a responsible chicken owner? Have you considered getting baby chicks, and wonder if they will grow to make good pets? Has the realization of changing times sent you looking for ways to become a little more self sufficient and prepared?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, we are here for you. Our goal is to help you learn how to responsibly own and care for chickens, whether you want them for eggs, pets, or even meat.

Sound interesting? If so, then this is the group to join. Every monthly meet-up will include 30 minutes for personal chat and mingle time. Then we’ll have a speaker, who will share expert advice on various educational topics such as coop design, health and wellness, purchasing chicks, hatching eggs, and bio security. We also intend to vigorously support the rights of all chicken owners, and to establish a buying coop to cut your feed cost by upto 30 percent.

We hope to see you at the next meet-up! This is a fun group, and we’re glad you could stop by to check us out!
