PEP Rally

Details

Ever hear Python programmers refer to "PEP 8"? What about "The Zen of Python" (PEP 20)? What are these things?

PEPs are the Python community's way of designing and discussing language features & other aspects of the Python ecosystem. They describe technical implementations and non-technical processes and environments (sometimes in poetry format!). They're great for helping you understand why a language feature works the way it does or as documentation for more obscure aspects of Python. It's also a great way to keep yourself updated as to where the language is going.

We will conduct a tour of Python PEPs. It will cover some of the popular and important ones, some "greatest hits" and also look ahead at those under consideration for future Python enhancements.

We'll reserve time at the end for audience participation: bring your favorite PEP to share!

Thank you to tonight's sponsor, ProTech Training (http://protechtraining.com/), who will be providing pizza for attendees.
