PEP Rally

Ever hear Python programmers refer to "PEP 8"? What about "The Zen of Python" (PEP 20)? What are these things?

PEPs are the Python community's way of designing and discussing language features & other aspects of the Python ecosystem. They describe technical implementations and non-technical processes and environments (sometimes in poetry format!). They're great for helping you understand why a language feature works the way it does or as documentation for more obscure aspects of Python. It's also a great way to keep yourself updated as to where the language is going.

We will conduct a tour of Python PEPs. It will cover some of the popular and important ones, some "greatest hits" and also look ahead at those under consideration for future Python enhancements.

We'll reserve time at the end for audience participation: bring your favorite PEP to share!

Thank you to tonight's sponsor, ProTech Training, who will be providing pizza for attendees.

I am taking my first Python class on-line at Coursera (a fantastic free course). Though I have taught myself beginning level in several other languages prior. This is a hobby.
Will this meeting still be good for me?
    Sound fun.

Thanx, Nick. Darn, and I just found out that I work that evening. But I will try to attend the next general meeting. Thank you kindly.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
