INAUGURAL PREPPER FEST AZ EXPO COMING APRIL 26-28
Three-day Event to Feature More Than 85 Booths, Live Demonstrations and Classes
PHOENIX - (April 22, 2013) Education, not doom and gloom is the focus when Prepper Fest AZ Expo (http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fprepperfestaz.com%2F&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNGxums1X-4xYUKHtpZL2SO0alqNnA) comes to Scottsdale, April 26-28. This three-day expo will feature more than 85 vendor booths, 60 classes and a variety of interactive, kid friendly exhibits including a petting zoo. Prepper Fest AZ Expo offers attendees the opportunity to explore self-reliance vendors and acquire knowledge and skills at the numerous classes which are all included in the price of admission.
“Prepping has grown in popularity with television shows like ‘Doomsday Preppers’ and ‘Doomsday Bunkers,’ however those shows focus on fear and negativity; often portraying preppers as extremist and somewhat nutty” said Tony Tangalos, founder of Prepper Fest AZ Expo. “Our event emphasizes education for all situations whether it’s safely enduring a natural disaster or learning how to improve the quality of the food you put into your body.”
Tangalos, a leading valley self-reliance advocate, also hosts The Prepper Patch Radio Show every Sunday from 2-3 PM on 1100 KFNX; the only self-reliance radio show in Phoenix.
Expo vendors will offer a wide range of self-reliance solutions including water filtration and storage, solar energy, freeze-dried and dehydrated foods, permaculture, hydroponics and much, much more. Prepper Fest AZ Expo offers expert guest speakers including Chef Tess Bakeresse of Honeyville Farms, Lisa Bedford “The Survival Mom”, and Stewart Rhodes, founder of Oath Keepers. A comprehensive prepping and permaculture curriculum of 60 free courses includes cooking with solar ovens, Gluten & GMO free living, herbal medicines, kitchen gardens and composting, off grid living, colloidal silver and essential oils.
Attendees can visit the Permaculture Pavilion and take more than 20 “permie” classes. Other areas in the event include the Animal Husbandry Pavilion where goats, chicken or rabbits can be purchased or the Ham Radio Pavilion to observe a functioning ham radio. There is something for everyone at PrepperFestAZ Expo; a celebration of self-reliance.
