Tongue Tied Dance Party!!

Fresh off their at-capacity launch (over 250 people!) DJs Roya and Funkfinger return to Apollo's Lounge on June 1st for a Daft Punk tribute with their new dance party, Tongue Tied! Here's the official Tongue Tied promotional video featuring some highlights from last month's launch party, (see if you can spot yourself!): http://vimeo.com/65628349

For June's Daft Punk tribute night, DJs Roya & Funkfinger will be playing some of their favorite Daft Punk tracks, giving away copies of Daft Punk's latest album, Random Access Memories, projecting the film Electroma on Apollo's big screen and giving several pairs of tickets to One More Time, Phoenix's very own Daft Punk Tribute band playing Crescent Ballroom on June 22nd!

The award-winning DJ duo (formerly of Obscura) will continue to spin their signature blend of indie + 80s + new wave + other fun stuff -- LCD Soundsystem, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, New Order, Justin Timberlake -- basically anything that makes you want to shake yo' booty! Interpretive dancer Dave Driscoll of Treasure Mammal fame will also be returning. Business cards go to everyone who arrives with a secret password on the back -- text and get entered to win prizes like free drinks, gift cards, concert tickets, etc.

This new party has the same get-your-butt-moving dance vibe that these DJ's are known for, plus some new extras:

- An on-site food truck
- Photo booth
- Prizes -- Concert tickets, free drinks, gift cards, etc. (To enter, simply text the word PARTY to (480)[masked])
- Drink specials all night long
- Jello shots (all proceeds go to charity)
- Interpretive costumed dancers
- Free popcorn
- Free condoms
- Free props

For those not familiar with Apollo's, it's a charming, yet down-to-earth neighborhood bar that has a great smoking patio, and also serves strong, cheap drinks (along with drink specials) all night long -- perfect for those who don't like to dance but still want to hang out and enjoy this festive party!

Hey guys just a heads up for this event. A regular organizer is unable to attend so I highly recommend exchanging contact info in the comments and if one of you could volunteer to be a backup organizer so everyone can find each other. Michelle may be busy djing and hosting but I have asked her to post her cell so you can all find each other. Look for more great events soon. Brian Ferenz [masked]
