Suppose you are brand new to town and have yet to make any friends in town... even if you've been in the Valley for over a year (or two?)... and you are tired of eating that chocolate fudge ice cream watching Sex And The City (girl, hopefully?) or getting your ass whopped at Call Of Duty by a 9 year old  and you want to get out of the house...

Well that's what this meetup group is all about...

Now before you join, let me just say this: We are a close group of friends who do all kinds of fun stuff and simply wish to meet other fun people who are into the same stuff. We don't really need new friends, we just want new friends... So, if you have no friends because you're a hermit or your friends don't talk to you, then this probably isn't going to be the group for you... we would like to keep this drama free since we plan on having events at some of our homes, only members friends we know and trust will be allowed.

We will have other meetups where we'll get the chance to get to know you and you can get to know us... if you are fun, and friendly we'll allow you to remain part of the group...

So here's more or less what you can look forward to...

First and foremost, we are kinda crazy about sushi and one of our favorite places just happens to be crazy fish... Now you don't have to like sushi to hang out with us... I'm just saying confidently, we kinda like sushi a lot...

You can just eat some edamame, drink a sake bomber or make us laugh while we try not to choke on the sticky rice...

And if you know of a good sushi place, by all means let us know, we'll go check it out and let you know what we think.

Now I don't have any pictures for this one, but we are also a bit crazy about chicken wings. Hot buffalo chicken wings. And I might as well throw in pizza, but if you are thinking we're a bunch of fatties who don't exercise, think again...

We do hit the gym, and obviously you don't have to join our gym, but we do other stuff like hiking and biking to remain skinny... not Lindsay Lohan skinny, just fit... Personally I prefer Camelback over South Mountain, but some people (Serg) are out of shape and can't keep up... Ahem...

So we'll do both and don't worry, we are a leave-no-man-behind (or woman) group of friends...

Excited already?

Ok, so maybe the beautiful views from Camelback that show us how polluted our city really is not the most attractive to you or you just happen to be picky about your hiking destinations...

That's aight, we've got some for ya...

How 'bout random trips to red rock town up north known around the world as the most peaceful place on earth... SedoooOOOnaaa....

Ok so we don't go there as often as we should, but who knows, maybe with a group of friends a road trip with a bunch of cool people just sounds too irresistible to do anything else on a weekend...

Just remember that if you go up there, we normally hike and that means you should come prepared with good hiking shoes and not flip flops... you'll get blisters (ask me how I know that...)

Anyways...

This is not just some hiking group with a bunch of nerds meeting to go hang out with mother nature, and like I said, if you want to be part of this group, there has to be trust... See one thing we like to do is go out camping and setting bonfires, roasting mallows and making smores...

Some more what?

Yep, we bring ice cold refreshing beverages, junk food which we perfectly know is not good for us, tell jokes and stuff... bring a guitar and play some sing along songs if we are still sober...

but let me reiterate, this is all fun with good friends, not so much with strangers, so again, this is one of those events that only people who have attended a past event will be allowed in...

Now fun don't stop there... we've got our sights set on a trip to the good ole salt river. So get some cheap sunglasses (they'll likely be lost), good sunblock, a case of brew, jump into thy swimsuit and join us down the river....

Trust me on this one, bring a camera only if you don't mind it getting ruined by the crystal clear water of the river...

A couple drinks under the sun seem to have more effect than other times... if you whip out your camera then...

YOU'LL. BE. SCREWED.

Anyways...

Like music?

We too... yes we. Our taste in music varies, but we like just about everything... we recently saw Jared Leto's new pink mohawk, and we are planning on going to kings of leon...

Jack Johnson, maybe?

I don't know, but if you want to go to a concert let us know and we'll get a big group together and hang out...

Got Dog?

So do we... I have to admit we don't do this as often as we should to show our best friends how much we love 'em, but we ocassionally go to the dog park and let these four legged brats go crazy bananas...

We've even considered starting a dog match making service, but that's a topic for another day.

Point, is good friends includes Fido and well... nothing like the pooch park to go hang out with them.

I'm about growing calluses on my fingers from typing all this, so let me just mention a couple more things and we'll wrap up...

Arizona is not exactly recognized for its steep slopes and soft powder snow, but that doesn't mean we can't have snowboarders in our group.

Skiers... buy me a beer and you can join us at the slopes... Just kidding, you weirdos are welcome...

Now you may be cool looking in skiis down the mountain, but for some reason that doesn't translate as well when you go to the lake.

I don't know why, but it just seems that wakeboarding is what cool kids are doing nowadays, so if you want bring your water skiis and do your ballet line or whatever, go ahead, but I'm not sure we'll invite you boating next time unless you are a really cute girl who can get away with it.

Slalom skiing?

That's kinda cool, so we'll give you a pass on that one...

Oh yeah, we also (yes Luis, I said we 'cause you still have my strap-one-foot-only wakeboard) have a tube and yes, you'll end up in the water...

That's the whole point of going to the lake...
