New Meetup: Alviso Landscape/Wildlife/Urban Decay Shoot

Announcing a new Meetup for The South Bay Photography Meetup Group!

What: Alviso Landscape/Wildlife/Urban Decay Shoot

When: December 13,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: For all of you who are into landscape and wildlife photography, Alviso is a great location. Part of the Don Edwards SF National Wildlife Refuge, you can walk out into the bay on a few jetties to photograph the landscape and wildlife. I'm not sure how the wildlife will be, but it seems that there are always birds flying about.

While part of the group can work on their landscape and wildlife photography (can I please have a volunteer to stay with this group to act as a co-organiser?), I will be taking a small group (no more than 8 people) on a photowalk in the streets of Alviso to photograph the town itself. If you would like to join me on this walk, please leave a note on the comments section at the bottom of this listing, and I will take people on a first come, first served basis.

The anticipated duration of this shoot is 2-4pm. I am not planning for a warm cuppa afterwards, but please feel free to convene somewhere for further discussion if desired. I believe the closest non-Starbucks cafe is at Rivermark Plaza on Montague Expy (it's a Peet's Coffee).

If you haven't been to Alviso before and don't know what to expect, here are some photos from Flickr to browse:

And here are some photos of the town itself:

Note that we will NOT be venturing to Drawbridge, an abandoned ghost town, on this trip.
