C1-Newark
What is C1- Newark:
C1- Newark is a 11-week free photography program that will you teach you the basic fundamentals of how to operate your DSLR camera.
What you will learn:
At the end of this program you will better understand how to apply manual modes, f-stops, ISO, shutter speeds, exposure, and the ground rules for operating these specific functions.
What else is covered:
We will also cover the different cameras, lens types, focal points, composition, natural light, and the best time to shoot.
The goal:
If your goal is to learn more about photography or your new camera so that you can enhance your creativity this is the perfect program for you.
Class meetings:
We will meet a minimum of once a week on Tuesday’s at 7pm Newark. You can only miss one class during the 11-weeks.
The Gallery Showing:
Over the 11-week period you are given assignments to photography. Those assignments are evaluated and will be considered for our 2012 C1 Newark Gallery Showing sponsored by the Tri-Cities Community Development Center in conjunction with Bay Area Photographers Working Together.
The gallery showing is a requirement to complete the 11-week process and you will be awarded a certificate of completion. Your camera is required and be sure to bring your camera manual. Our Mission is
Photographers Working Together is a MeetUp designed to bring photographers together of all skill levels to learn, share, support, and create great photography.
We have have 3 specific goals:

Keith B Dixon and has worked for MD News, Doctor Dentistry, Pro Agent Magazine and other local and national trade publications as a Publisher and Associate Publisher.
Keith has been a commercial photographer for 6 years and specializes in corporate event photography, executive portraits, and editorial assignment work in the health care, computer technology, bio-tech, and real estate related photography.
Keith’s work has also been published in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and Nationally.
Currently, Keith is a corporate lead photographer for a major resort in the Napa Valley and has photographed high profile client such as the US Chief Judges of the US Appellate Courts and several other Bay Area Executives and Celebrities.
Keith has a BA in Communication from Sacramento State

Sheila approach to photography covers areas of Fine Art, Portrait and Life. Her style is one that uses traditional, candid, contemporary, artistic and photojournalistic techniques. When photographing people she loves capture images at that defines moments that reveal true beauty, true emotion and spirit of an individual or group.
Her work is influenced by the elements of nature, abstraction, surrealism, color variations, and texture. It evokes a spiritual, emotional and perceptional experience of seeing what is revealed
