Summer 2015 Beginners

phpdetroit meetups are being divided into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced sessions, each with their own Meetup to RSVP to. All sessions are 1 hour with a half hour between them for attendees arriving and departing.

Beginner meetups will focus on challenging PHP tutorials and Q&A with senior developers. Intermediate meetups will focus on broader concept presentations and sharing experiences. Advanced meetups will feature focused roundtable discussions and brief but deep dives into particular problem areas.

The agenda for this Beginner session will be:

5 min: Agenda review & introduction to the new phpdetroit.
30 min: Types of Security Issues And How To Spot Them
10 min: Q&A with a senior developer (bring your questions!)
10 min: Design Pattern Tutorial: Using Singletons
5 min: Survey & PHP Trivia

Meetup location will be in Troy or Royal Oak. This Meetup will be updated as soon as it is finalized.

Meetup is subject to cancellation if fewer than 10 attendees register by August 16.
