Calendar is now complete and update with the latest version of the schedule

      February 17, 2014

  • Diego G.

Are the slides going to be published?

    February 10, 2014

    • Jakub Z.

Since the "slides" where mostly build on a "live" coding session, what do you expect from them? I can't upload the videos. I could prepare a version more suitable for the web, but what do you expect from it?

      February 10, 2014

    • Diego G.

The video covers the steps in using routes, parameters, ORM mapping, formats etc very fast and for ppl that have used symfony but not to its full extent is a good reference to what to look for when implementing these features and at the same time improve the code (like how to make slimmer controllers callables).

      February 10, 2014

  • Alex

So... We have to use synfony as php framework then?? ;) thanks for the talk really interesting!

    February 7, 2014

  • Marcin W.

Absolutely brilliant. Is there any chance to fetch the "slides?

    February 7, 2014

  • Christian

Is there going to be any video or other media we can download from tonight. I was especially interested in symfony!

    February 6, 2014

    • Tomasz T.

Yeah I would like that too, Jakub could you share your presentation or something?

      February 7, 2014

First time for SensioLabs UK to sponsor the PHP London Meetup. Great to meet everyone. If you missed it, why not join us at the next Symfony Meetup on 19th Feb at Doggets, or get yourself to the Symfony Live Conference in Sept.

Hi everyone, I'm excited about attending my 1st PHP meetup today. Due to the tube strike I'll be walking from Waterloo station. Here is a link to directions from Waterloo to the pub for anyone else thinking the same: (It is about 13 minutes walk from London Waterloo Station.) http://bit.ly/1kYmN8V

I get the feeling I'm not the only one that will be missing this month because of TFL and the tube strikes this week.

    1 · February 3, 2014

    • Maria C.

I believe it is just the Tube that is effected

      February 5, 2014

    • Tomasz T.

Thanks Maria, I hope you are right :)

      February 6, 2014

  • Maria C.

Anyone going to be coming in to Euston for the meetup tomorrow? Perhaps we could share a taxi to overcome the strike?

    February 4, 2014

Anyone know how the Northern Line is fairing? Thinking of Northern Line to Waterloo and walking....

      February 5, 2014

  • Ollie H.

I'm not going to be able to make it due to the tube strikes but I was hoping to meet some devs who could apply for our startup's sysadmin/developer role. If anyone's interested check out our RAP VIDEO. As far as I know it is the only rap ever to mention Symfony2 and Laravel http://blog.eventstagr.am/2014/02/our-rap-about-hiring-a-sysadmin-php-developer/

Hello - Very much hoping that we'll still be at this month's meet-up - it's our first too. We're currently looking for a junior / graduate PHP developer to join our small and very busy team - based in Sidcup - 25 mins from London Bridge. If you've got some good PHP skills, some good JS and most importantly the determination to work on a wide range of projects and face a new challenge every day we'd love to talk to you. Message me and we'll take it from there.....

    so, no need to rsvp?

    January 13, 2014

    • Johanna C.

No there isn't really any need to RSVP, but I've opened them now.

      January 13, 2014

  • Jakub Z.

"Downstairs, level -1, in the cafe. Capacity is limited to the first 120 people to arrive, regardless of RSVP." - this is no longer valid since we're back at Dogget's ;)

Also, the talks page is a 404 and there was no prize draw for ages ;)
