Ernest studied with Lateiner, who was the teacher of my teacher Dimitri Toufexis also at Julliard. For this and his programming, I am certain it will be a treat for attending members! Ernest has contacted me about his upcoming piano recital with the following:

Another solo London recitals by Hong Kong virtuoso Ernest So, whose performances in USA and many other countries have been described as "evoking the technical brilliance of a 19th century pianist - a phenomenal presence on stage". From his wide-ranging repertoire Ernest has selected works tonight by Argentinian and Mexican composers including (subject to final programme) Guastavino, Golijov and Piazzolla. Ernest So studied at the Julliard School under the Beethoven scholar Jacob Lateiner. He is founder of the educational project Atelier des Artistes in New York, and is also technical consultant to major piano manufacturers such as Paolo Fazioli, Luigi Borgato and Asia Piano Japan. He has given many masterclasses and lectures.
