We changed this class from OLSR to building Ethernet cables

Have you ever needed a 15 foot Cat5 Ethernet cable and gone to Best Buy and spent $45? You're being charged for your ignorance! So let's learn how to make our own Ethernet cables and save money! Making Ethernet is an integral part of building a Community Wireless Network. Learn a skill that could save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars and is the cornerstone to jobs like working in a data center or working as an IT field analyst.

The goal of this series of talks is to inspire and educate residents and neighbors of the Hill District, enabling them to build their own public WiFi network along Centre Avenue. The lessons learned at this and other classes in the series will be instrumental in building a strong public WiFi network. All classes will be held at the Hill House First Source Center.

All classes are free.

Free food will be provided according to the number of signups on this page-so sign up! Questions about this or other classes in the Hill District can be directed to info@metamesh.org.
