Subject: [PITTSBURGH-TEA-PARTY-MOVEMENT] New Meetup: Bus trip to Washington, D.C. on April 15th

Announcing a new Meetup for PITTSBURGH TEA PARTY MOVEMENT!

What: Bus trip to Washington, D.C. on April 15th

When: Thursday, April 15, 2010 - Departures based on pick-up location

Price: $50.00 per person paid on bus

Where: Pick up locations at Ross Town Center, Lowe's in Monroeville, Downtown after local event and Butler Transit parking lot

We have arranged for buses to Washington, D.C. on April 15th for the FreedomWorks? Tax Day Tea Party at 7:00 p.m. Details of that event are provided at the very end of this letter. Because we have lined up outstanding speakers for our local event in downtown Pittsburgh, we planned our buses so you could attend both events.

We will be returning to the Pittsburgh area around 2:30 a.m. and we figured most of you would not want to be walking around downtown at that time of night. Accordingly, we have arranged for you to park at Ross Town Center in front of Roomful Express, at Lowe?s in Monroeville near Miracle Mile and at Butler Motor Transit?s parking lot. We will also have a downtown departure for those who don?t mind paying for parking and finding cars at 2:30 in the morning downtown.

Here is how the bus logistics will work. Passengers will be picked up from each of the following locations at the designated times and will be driven to Mellon Square for the Pittsburgh event.

Butler Motor Transit 9:30 a.m. (210 S. Monroe Street, Butler 16001)
Ross Towne Center 11:00 a.m. (7219 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh 15237)
Lowes 11:00 a.m. (4200 William Penn Hwy, Monroeville 15146)

You may leave your belongings for Washington, D.C. on the buses as it will be locked while you are at the Mellon Square event. When the Mellon Square event ends, you will have until 1:20 p.m. to board the same bus at the same place where you were dropped off downtown. Once fully loaded, the buses will leave for Washington, D.C. One of the buses will make an additional stop at Lowe?s on the way to the turnpike to pick up those who cannot attend the downtown event but want to go to DC.

We are asking everyone to bring bag lunches and dinners to save time as we would like to arrive in Washington at 6:30 for the event which starts at 7:00 p.m. We will have one brief 15 minute restroom stop instead of our usual 30 minute breakfast break.

Reservations will be taken directly. Please sign up by submitting you name and email address to [address removed] or by calling[masked] and reserve a seat only if you are definitely planning on going. You will need to sign up for a departure location when making this reservation. I will send a confirmation to you within 24 hours of your reservation.

Our goal is to provide a ride for all the people who would like to attend as long as there are buses available. Last time, we ended up sending five buses, and there were only four people we were not able to accommodate.

Please sign up as soon as you are certain you can commit to going and you are certain of your departure location as it will give us more time to secure additional buses if needed. The cost is $50 per person round trip, including tips to the drivers. Money will be collected on the bus. The deadline for signup is April14 at noon.

Confirmed speakers for the FreedomWorks Tax Day Tea Party event include: Andrew Breitbart; Lord Monckton; Rev. C.L. Bryant; Nic Lott; Deneen Borelli; Tucker Carlson; Brendan Steinhauser; Andrew Moylan; Neal Boortz; Congressmen Michele Bachmann, Ron Paul, Jim DeMint and Tim Price; and FreedomWorks? Dick Armey, Matt Kibbe and Tom Gaiten. Updates will be available at . The event officially starts at 7:00 with warm-up speakers and musicians beginning earlier.

Attendees are welcome to bring small umbrellas, bottled water, bagged lunch (no glass containers), lawn chairs, cameras, blankets, small coolers and backpacks. (Everything may be subject to search.)

FreedomWorks is expecting buses from Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, which to me means attendance is likely to be at least in the tens of thousands.

Please pass this information on to your friends.
