eXtreme Tuesday Club

We meet each week to talk about eXtreme Programming, Test Driven Development and all sorts of geeky stuff.

When you arrive, please call[masked] to be allowed access.

NB: You must have a photo of your face on your meetup.com profile to be allowed access.

We gather topics for conversation from everyone, then take votes on each topic in order to decide what to talk about. Coming prepared with some problems or questions can help this process.

There is pizza and an array of snacks and beer.

Hope to see you there!

Andrew

Here's the history of software engineering post I mentioned (https://plus.google.com/115091715679003832601/posts/VBJTGru3PeW). It's by Laurent Bossavit, and starts: "I'm tempted to half-seriously define a "Software Engineering History Maturity Model". Its stages would be characterized by the sophistication of someone's understanding of where the "waterfall" lifecycle came from."

I really enjoyed the format of this Meetup. Most software Meetups I've been to feature prepared talks, which I enjoy; but eXtreme Tuesday's format of questions and discussion is a lot more engaging than listening to a talk. It also leads to more interaction with the other attendees.

Really good discussions tonight. Nice balance between the talkative people and those who needed to be drawn out.

Agreed - I think everyone did a great job of asking for the opinions of the room
