I like plays, especially clever ones, but watching is a bit passive and reading them to myself doesn't bring them to life. Live readings strike the right balance. As in so many group activities, this will work best for me if the group is pretty consistent in their approach to the endeavor - serious enough to give it some thought and effort beforehand but not demanding or critical of other participants. I do best in social situations when I have an identifiable task or role (so to speak).
It has been many, many years. I mostly have vicarious contact through my daughter who acts.
It is embarrassing, but none in particular come to mind. I don't have sufficient exposure to have favorites.
