Founded in April 2008, the New York Poly Women's Group is the first polyamory group in the Tri-State area exclusively for women. Polyamory is the practice of freely developing your own kinds of honest, informed and consensual relationships with multiple partners. Our purpose is to create a support network for women exploring polyamory, or dealing with their individual poly situations.

At most poly gatherings, men outnumber women and typically dominate the conversation. The founders saw a need for a group less focused on meeting potential dates and more on providing informed and sympathetic emotional support for our sometimes challenging lovestyle.

Our members range from women in their 20s, 30s and 40s, and include straight, bisexual, transgender, lesbian and pansexual women. That said, the group's purpose is to discuss polyamory from the female perspective, so we are only open to persons living as women.

We are open to all women who are polyamorous, poly-friendly, poly-curious, poly-pending or poly-questioning. If you are looking for a supportive, nurturing place to talk about dealing with your multi-partner relationships, or just want to know more about the poly lovestyle, we would love to meet you.
