Anybody interested in a support group to get through the Coursera John Hopkin's R Programming section ( https://www.coursera.org/course/rprog )?
This meetup will follow the August 3 - 29 schedule (at the link above).
We'll meet at Panera next to Trader Joes just north of I-84 - and near the train, so highly accessible by transit.
There will be four-ish meetups, one prior to each of the four topics. The four topics are as follows (from the Coursera website):
• Week 1: Overview of R, R data types and objects, reading and writing data
• Week 2: Control structures, functions, scoping rules, dates and times
• Week 3: Loop functions, debugging tools
• Week 4: Simulation, code profiling
The first meetup will be Sat. July 18th, prior to the first topic.
The course suggests a book, and requires you to setup a GitHub account, if you don't already have one.
