Robert Dodier: Introduction to Bayesian inference in R

Details
Speaker: Robert Dodier
Title: Introduction to Bayesian inference in R
Abstract: In this talk I will give a brief overview of Bayesian inference and describe a few classes of problems that it can be applied to. I will show how the necessary computations can be implemented in R, and finally I'll talk about Stan, which is a widely-used package for Bayesian inference in R and other languages. No previous exposure to Bayesian inference is assumed. I'll focus on simple, fundamental concepts throughout.
