This is a Mandarin conversation group - not a language class. Our mission is to give members opportunities to practice Mandarin through friendly conversations. We don't have an agenda or a topic of discussion, just chit chat between friends.
This group is designed for people who are committed to the language and culture. Even if you aren't confident with your language skills, come and listen. You'll be surprised by how much you can learn.
We generally meet Sunday mornings either at the Lan Su Chinese Garden or Townshend's Tea House, with special lunch outings or activities once a month. Though membership to the Chinese Language & Culture Meetup Group is free, the places we meet may require admission or the purchase of food.
Active participation is highly encouraged. Inactive members may be removed from the group.
