SFPUG July: Lessons learned from managing way too many database servers

Details
Who: Rob Wultsch, Facebook
What: Tips on managing 1000's of database servers
Where: CBS Interactive (CNET)
When: Tuesday July 12th, 7pm (doors open at 6:30)
Rob Wultsch, a recent addition to Facebook's DBA Operations team, will compare and contrast the Facebook deployment with his previous work with another large deployment of open source databases. In this db-agnostic talk, he'll go over: the bizarre becoming ordinary, the
many types of infrastructure that do not scale and what does and does not work when building a DBA team.
Note: this is a joint meetup with the San Francisco MySQL Meetup. Members of that meetup can also RSVP at the MySQL Meetup (http://www.sfmysql.org/) page. Please only RSVP in one place, though.
IMPORTANT: you must bring a photo ID in order to sign in at the venue.
Event generously hosted by CBS Interactive, and food sponsored by Percona. http://percona.com. Yaaay Percona! Drinks sponsored by PostgreSQL Experts http://pgexperts.com.
Can't make it to the meetup? It'll be streamed live at http://ustream.tv/channel/sf-mysql-meetup
