SFPUG July: Elephants in Containers

For July's meetup, we're going to learn about running PostgreSQL on Docker and Linux containers, with two back-to-back presentations:

Madhuri Yechuri of the ClusterHQ team will present using Flocker to deploy, manage and migrate your PostgreSQL containers between physical machines.

Chris Winslett of Compose.io will show off Governor, which combines PostgreSQL and Etcd on containers for automated redundancy and failover.

And, for anyone who is not already familiar with Docker and Linux containers, Josh Berkus will be giving a 5-minute introduction at the start of the event.

This meetup is hosted by Salesforce.com, who are also supplying refreshments.

VENUE DIRECTIONS: Enter Rincon Center at 101 Spear. Proceed South to the open-air courtyard. Salesforce Cafe is on the ground floor across from the big OFFICE ELEVATOR sign; there are SFPUG signs.
