PostgreSQL 9.2 Reviewfest
Details
The Final CommitFest for PostgreSQL 9.2 is almost upon us, and it's up to YOU to make sure that 9.2 is the best release it can be. Come join the SFPUG reviewfest and review a patch!
What: PostgreSQL 9.2 ReviewFest
When: Starting 6pm Thursday January 12 until around 10pm Thursday
(come for all or part of the event)
Where: Calthorpe Offices in downtown Berkeley
Who: You!
Space generously provided by Calthorpe, Berkeley's premier urban designers (http://www.calthorpe.com/)..
Food and beverages (and beer!) provided by Sunsson, your resource for PostgreSQL jobs (http://sunsson.com/)..
Virtual Servers provided by GoGrid, your local high-performance cloud host (http://www.gogrid.com/).
You too can review a patch and help get the best possible PostgreSQL 9.2 out as soon as possible. Whether there's a particular patch or performance you care about, or if you just want to help with PostgreSQL, we need you. You don't need to be a C coder; just some rudimentary Linux or Mac command-line skills are enough, and we'll teach you the rest.
Bring a laptop with an SSH terminal program with you (a Linux or Mac laptop, or a Windows laptop with PuTTY).
Note: you do not need to be at the meetup for the entire 4 hours. You may arrive late or leave early, especially if you are already familiar with compiling PostgreSQL.
Directions:
It's a 20 minute walk north on Shattuck from the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Street parking is probably more reasonable after 6pm than it is during the workday.
