SFPUG April: Sharding with Instagram

Mike Krieger will speak about how Instagram evolved their PostgreSQL data storage as they scaled from 0 to 27 million registered users in less than two years. We'll walk through the history from a single machine to their current sharded setup holding over 2TB of data, and discuss how we evolved our use of PostgreSQL to match our rapid-scaling needs.
